Michael Bascetta

Founder & CEO

Michael is a hospitality professional with over a decade of experience in the industry. He trained at Attica and is now co-owner of the award-winning Bar Liberty (Fitzroy) and Capitano (Carlton). He is also co-founder of Grow Assembly, an annual hospitality community event.

Roscoe Power

Founder & Director

Roscoe has a diverse background across large scale property, construction and hospitality projects. Having been mentored by some of Australia's most innovative and successful CEO's, he is incredibly passionate about utilising the power of collaboration personal and professional growth.

Rob Weston

Operations Manager

Rob is a social entrepreneur at heart, working with visionaries who like to reinvent the status quo. Holding a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience and MBA, he brings project management, investment analysis and product development experience from the health, education and financial services sectors.

Sophie Nguyen

Community Manager

Sophie is Worksmith’s project and campaign manager, and event coordinator with a specialisation in advertising and media. She brings excellent hospitality industry know-how to her role – thanks to her previous job at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

Tim Varney

Project Director

Tim is all about community and events within coffee. After a six year stint at world-renowned Tim Wendelboe in Oslo, he returned to Melbourne in 2013, to co-found Bureaux Collective - Australia’s first co-roasting workspace. He also co-founded the World AeroPress Championship, a coffee community building competition spanning 65+ countries.

Daisy Slade

Digital Marketing & Communications Manager

Daisy comes from a near-decade in people-focused industries in Australia and the UK, but an eternal love of eating and drinking has her settled in a career that revolves around food and beverage. Daisy joins Worksmith from Shannon Bennett's Vue Group.
